I am fortunate enough not to suffer from any sort of breathing problems but I have friends who do and it seems like one of the most awful ailments there is. Normally there is nothing they can do about an attack when they happen and just have to stay strong and see it out.
Thankfully, there are certain things on the market which can help to prevent this from happening and one such object is a dehumidifier. As we will discover in the remainder of the review, preventing illness is only one of the features dehumidifiers have and we will look at all of them in greater detail.
The Frigidaire FAD704DWD is the machine we will be looking at today, so lets get going.
It doesn’t get off to the most exciting start where the features for this dehumidifier are concerned, but practicality is very rarely fun! It has a 70 pint tank which is plenty large enough for most household rooms for a considerable period of time. I told you it wasn’t exciting! What really makes this Dehumidifier Web’s favorite is what it can do for you.
This unit can protect your home from the mould and mildew caused by excess moisture. It can help to eliminate the bacteria in the air which makes breathing difficult, and it effortlessly utilises humidity control to allow you to control the exact percentage of humidity which is in the room. It will do all of these things and still be able to be left on constantly too as long as it is placed beside a suitable drain, so it doesn’t matter how damp the room is, the Frigidaire will fix it!
Perhaps most impressively they have managed to fit all of this into a relatively small machine with this dehumidifier only measuring 19.8 x 11.54 x 14.57 inches, so it won’t even take up much room!
The good points
As dehumidifiers go, this is a very nicely designed one. Its looks mean that it is a machine you will be able to leave out without fear of judgemental comments and the good points don’t end there. It is quiet, has a space efficient size and it works extremely well most of the time.
The bad points
Sometimes, and only sometimes, things can go wrong, and what seems to go wrong most often with the Frigidaire is to do with the build quality. There has been more than one incident of water flowing from the bottom of the case in the back onto the floor which means you will be left with a soggy carpet of tiles. This leaves the machine to dehumidify the water it has already dehumidified! Not a great feature….
If you are on the lookout for a good dehumidifier then you could do a lot worse than to buy the Frigidaire. When it works it works very well and it should last you for a very long time. Just make sure you keep an eye out for leaks!
