Danby DMW7700BLDB Review

Cooking is either something you love or you absolutely hate, there isn’t really any middle ground when it comes to preparing food in your kitchen. If you love cooking then the chances are that you’ll already know everything there is to know about how to prepare the best meals using all of the best equipment. If however you are not as good in the kitchen then you may need some help, and there is one tool that in this situation is more helpful than most. I am talking about the humble microwave. This simple piece of kitchen equipment can help you out in so many ways that if I were to list them here it would take me forever and a day. That is why, instead of that we are simply going to look at one microwave oven, the Danby DMW7700BLDB in more detail and tell you all about it!

What are the Features?

One of the most important things about a microwave is how big it is and how much it can contain. The Danby can come in many different sizes so there is something to suit all needs, but this particular model measures 0.7 cubic feet. It has ten different power levels for all of the different types of food and drink you could possibly want to throw at it and this variety will stand you in good stead in the kitchen. Built into the machine is an automatic oven light, perfect for checking to see whether your food is cooked or not, and also a turntable to prevent it from burning. Speed and simplicity are the whole point of a microwave oven, and the Danby will aid you in both of these categories thanks to its simple one touch cooking with six separate settings.

The Positives?

There are quite a few good things about the Danby and they all reflect the thought that was clearly put into the design process. These positives include:  the beeps to indicate the timer has finished being soft and not overly loud as they are in some other ovens, easy door release for quick access, a quiet fan when it is in use, and the light inside coming on immediately when the door is open.

What’s bad about it?

It’s not all good for the Danby though, as some customers have made some complained about both its part and build quality. They have stated that certain elements in the microwave have stopped working after a limited number of uses, but it is worth mentioning that this is only the case in the minority of machines. If you want to take a look at toms other microwaves to compare, then why not look on Oven Shopper to see what you can find.

This is not a microwave oven that is competing to be right at the precipice of its market but it does achieve an awful lot in a simple machine. With a sleek black design, and a lot of features that are perfect in the kitchen, there is a reason as to why the Danby is one of the most popular ovens out there.
